Firmix offers clustered high-availability server solutions. Since HA clusters are not a standard product, Firmix evaluates the basic conditions of the environment and the customer's requirements to create an implementation proposal.

Already existing clusters from Firmix are using open source tools like Heartbeat (cluster manager for server/service monitoring), DRBD and others.

Additionally, Firmix takes care of backup/restore strategies, migration concepts, staff training and maintenance.

Numerous stable and robust real world high availability systems are the best reference: For instance the mailcluster of the Austrian Internet service provider B.net with several ten-thousands mail accounts is a good example for a high performance HA system by Firmix.

Code review by external consultants can accelerate the problem analysis in many cases. Especially in the embedded system area Firmix can offer extensive know-how for µCLinux or Linux based systems.

Firmix performs tests for telecommunication components. The Firmix expertise covers the technologies IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), VoIP (SIP, H.323, RTP, RTCP, T.38), ISDN (BRI, PRI), video transmission, video compression, and much more.

Firmix offers application and system programming services. Depending on the requirements we are working with various tools and programming languages (e.g. Java, C++, etc.)

The Firmix team has successfully completed numerous embedded Linux projects over the last 20 years. Customers of Firmix benefit from the experience and knowledge gained trough these projects. The development of embedded Linux systems calls for know-how about hardware and software tools, hands-on experience with common technologies and knowledge about production transition.

Android is an operating system and software platform for mobile devices (smartphone, netbooks, tablets). It is based on the Linux kernel. The costs of standard Android hardware is extremely low compared to proprietary hardware because of the high volume consumer market.

Additional to the development of original apps and adaption of existing ones (e.g. Firmix Softphone) we offer commissioned software development for our customers (see also Multimedia Projects).

We offer support for the planning, design, specification, programming and test phases of Android projects.
