Project Description
Real-time Linux
Distribution
Customization of a standard Linux distribution for an embedded IA32 based controller/display terminal.
* configurable build system for generating the distribution
* hardware specific kernel configuration (CPU, touch panel, network, etc..)
* real-time support using RTAI
* boot from compact flash
* internationalization (e.g. cyrillic fonts)
* VNC remote access during active session
* maintenance access via dial-in/dial-out modem
RTAI benchmark Comparison of RTAI with a proprietary real-time OS with special focus on used resources (memory and computing power) and performance (jitter and latency). Feasibility study to assure binary compatibility for legacy applications on RTAI.
Serial real-time driver Porting of the RTAI serial modul for ARM920T/amba ("UART real-time driver" for e.g. processor EP9301)
Adeos for ARM architectures Porting of Adeos for Linux 2.4 ARM architecture. Adeos instrumentation of Linux 2.4.21-rmk1-crus1.4.2 for EP9301.
RTAI for ARM architectures Support of ARM architectures in RTAI-pre-3.2
