Founded in 1995, Kasel Engineering is an internationally operating trading company for industrial plants and chemicals. Kasel is based in Vienna and has subsidiaries in Iran, China and the Czech Republic.
Kasel wanted to bring video telephony services within a closed user group to their subsidiaries, customers, project partners and suppliers. The main objectives were cost effective voice and video communication, simple handling and smooth integration.
The Firmix Asterisk Telephony Server (FATS) was integrated into Kasel's legacy telephony system by Firmix. Additionally, FATS has been enhanced to support video telephony. As a consequence, customers, partners and remote subsidiaries are now able to make video and voice calls to Kasel's headquarter over the Internet (VoIP) by simply dialing an extension number (without costs).
M.R. Selazade, Managing Director of Kasel Engineering says: "With the Firmix Asterisk Telephony Server our customers are now able to phone us like internal colleagues. This fact increases the customer proximity dramatically. In addition, the video capability gives us the possibility for quick visual checks of components from remote."
